Participating in professional organizations is an excellent way to network, sharpen your skills, learn best practices, share your expertise and more. Serving on the board of these organizations is an honor that allows you to give back to the organization and mentor professionals in your field.

From benefits and wellness, to safety and workers compensation, several Human Resources employees have been elected as leaders of national and local organizations:

Betsy Ramos:  Public Risk Management Association, Director-at-Large

Steven Guillory: Institute of Hazardous Materials Management, CSHM Scheme Committee Chair; Institute for Safety and Health Management, Vice Chair; World Safety Organization, Certification Board Member; American Society of Safety Professionals, Blacks in Safety Excellence Advisory Committee, Content and Technical Question Coordinator; Public Sector Practice Specialty Advisory Committee, Assistant Administrator; Public Risk Management Association, Leadership Development Committee Member; International Public Management Association for Human Resources, Certification Advisory Board Member;

Jennette Jackson: American Society of Safety Professions Public Sector Specialty, National Outreach Membership Coordinator, Local Chapter Liaison for Local Chapter Liaison for ASSP’s BISE Common Interest Group
