HAS' Spatial Information Service (ASIS) received a Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) Award at the ESRI International Users Group Conference on July 8 in San Diego, California. Jack Dangermond, ESRI President, said the SAG Awards are given to the top 100th of one percent of organizations using GIS globally. Before Senior Project Manager Vince Hamilton retired in July 2019, he was present to receive the award on
behalf of HAS and ASIS.
The award recognized the efforts of the ASIS team to gather widely disparate data from a multitude of HAS business units and assemble them into the Online Airport Spatial Information Service (OASIS), a cohesive geographic database that provides access and editable functions through dedicated applications.
Examples of these applications include the GIS integration with the OnBase document management system, the ASOCS airport operations software and the Infor Enterprise Asset Management System just to name a few.
Such integrations provide HAS business units with geographic data in familiar software formats that users can quickly and efficiently access for updating, analysis and communication purposes. View the HAS ASIS SAG
