HPARD employees complete intensive Maintenance Management School

Houston Parks and Recreation Department employees Larry Chenier, division manager, Brent Moon, senior superintendent of horticulture, and John Bermea, superintendent, recently completed a two-year Maintenance Management School in Wheeling, West Virginia. 

The program, hosted by the National Recreation and Parks Association and North Carolina State University, focuses on key parks and recreation maintenance and management skills, culminating in a keystone project which all students must participate in and pass.  This is an intensive school with rigorous and competitive completion requirements.
