TaKasha Francis encourages employees at Career Development Symposium

Department of Neighborhoods Director TaKasha Francis delivered the keynote speech at the 2nd Annual Career Development Symposium held on Nov., 9, 2016 at the Learning and Development Center. 

Francis candidly shared her knowledge with city colleagues, drawing from personal and professional experience gained across the years as a  college student, a State of Texas Assistant Attorney General and founder of her own law firm. 

Her motivational speech addressed career advancement challenges focused on purpose, fulfillment, relationships, exiting the comfort zone, and the risks, failures, hard work and determination that are part of the process of attaining success.  Her core message emphasized hard work and never giving up to reach one’s highest goals.
