Houston resident praises HHD for monkeypox vaccine changes

As Houston continues its battle with COVID, one Houston resident wanted to sing the praises of the Houston Health Department. Ken Council had this to say:

Mayor Turner,

Now that the requirements to receive the monkeypox vaccine have changed, I found myself eligible.  I contacted the city Health Department. They answered on the first ring and quickly scheduled me for an appointment at Hiram Clarke Multiservice Center.

Everyone at Hiram Clarke was friendly, helpful and efficient.  I was in and out in less than 30 minutes.  The tech vaccinating me, John Halliun, gave me the info that I needed and joked as he gave me a gentle jab.

On a scale of 1 to 100, this experience rates a 100.

Thank you, Mayor Turner for this city service and the fine people who helped to make it happen.

Sincerely,

Ken Council

P.S.: My City of Houston COVID vaccine 1 and 2 were also positive experiences.  I am a City of Houston Health Department fan.
