Retired HPD officer Ricky Pedraza wrote to Mayor Turner to share his appreciation for Clayton Pierce's attention to detail. Here's what he had to say:
"Mayor Turner, as a retired HPD officer. I had the pleasure of meeting one of your building code enforcer Clayton Pierce. He was there on a gas leak from the fireplace. He was very thorough in his inspection. So thorough that he did not pass our inspection," he wrote. "Yes I was very upset, but not from Clayton conducting his inspection. The plumbers found more gas leaks in the attic and water heaters needed more attention also. I just wanted to write this letter in regards to one of your employees, who conducted his job as what the City of Houston expects one to do. I commend Clayton Pierce from public works as one of those employees."
