Brian H. Teichman, property operations from the Highland Village shopping center, wrote to Mayor Turner to compliment the customer service he received from Roshon George, a senior plan analyst in the Houston Public Works. Here’s what he had to say:
“Our new tenant, Sweet Paris, encountered difficulty transferring water service responsibility to their restaurant. The resolution of the water service is paramount and an urgent matter to the on time opening of the restaurant. I advised the tenant that I would personally appear to the City of Houston Permitting Center as in previous instances I was successful in all objectives,” he wrote.
“As I waited for my ticket to be served, I noticed the attendants directing the third-floor desk were very accommodating to the needs of those who waited. Roshon George was assigned to my ticket and guided me through the maze of desks, all the while listening to my dilemma without interruption. Once he took control of the situation he reviewed the records of my inquiry entered into the city system. Ultimately the tenant had not followed the correct process, and therefore the transfer came to a halt. Roshon provided the documents needed to resolve the situation, adding precise instructions to recommence the transfer. It is because of individuals such as Roshon, the heartbeat of our city, who provide for the needs of our community."
