The City of Houston Municipal Courts Department (MCD) continues its efforts of community outreach by hosting Municipal Mini-Court Clinics June 18-20 at Denver Harbor, Hiram Clark and Southwest Multi-Service Centers.
MCD staff was on hand to help citizens obtain information about the status of their court case(s), provide public safety information and showcase some of the other services offered by the courts. The court clinics are designed to help Houstonians better understand how to handle their court business at MCD and to promote traffic safety.
“Municipal Court Clinics enable those we serve to become better acquainted with the various services and the many options available to them to help take care of their court matters. We want to keep the public aware of all the programs and specialized courts that are in place to assist them, as well as educate them on traffic safety,” said Director and Presiding Judge, J. Elaine Marshall.
MCD, which annually handles close to a million civil and criminal class C misdemeanor cases, is among the largest court systems in the United States.
