HPD, Crime Stoppers offer active shooter survival course

The Houston Police Department, along with Crime Stoppers of Houston, are hosting a seminar  titled "How to Survive an Active Shooter."

Stephen Daniel, an active shooter expert with HPD, will facilitate the class and cover the following topics:

  • Historic overview of active shooting in America
  • Active shooter profiles
  • Police response
  • Run, Hide, Fight
  • Priority of Life scale
  • Emergency response plans
  • Case studies
  • Developing your own unique survivor mindset

The class is free and will be held on July 26, 2016, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Children's Assessment Center on Bolsover St. Click here for additional information.
