HCDD opens 80-unit complex for homeless and low-income residents

On December 3, 2015, the Houston Department of Housing and Community Development, elected officals and community members  celebrated the opening of Temenos Place Apartments II, located at 2200 Jefferson.  This new, 80-unit complex will serve Houston’s homeless and extremely low-income population.  

The complex will offer residents supportive services including  life skills training, mental health counseling, substance abuse support groups, anger management, financial literacy and support, job readiness/workforce development. Residents will also have access to amenities such as  laundry rooms, a meeting area, outdoor communal area or courtyard designed with Green initiates. 

The Tenemos Place project was supported by partners including HUD, City of Houston Housing and Community Development Department, Harris County Community Services Department, Houston Housing Finance Corporation, Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas and Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
