Learn more about your past by attending a taping of the PBS show "Genealogy Roadshow" on Sunday, Nov. 22, at the Julia Ideson Library Building, 550 McKinney St.

The event, which is open to the public, encourages Houstonians to explore their family history with representatives from local, state and national genealogical societies. Experts will be on hand to help you, and you may appear on the nationally broadcast PBS "Genealogy Roadshow."

The event is from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., but the public is encouraged to arrive early. The line to enter will begin forming at 8 a.m. on the Lamar Street entrance.
