June is Men's Health Month: Good health as easy as one-two-three

On average, men die almost six years younger than women and suffer higher mortality rates for the top causes of death. 

Research has shown that women are 100 percent more likely than men to visit the doctor for annual exams and preventive services. Men are more likely to be uninsured compared to women. Also, about 30,000 men in the U.S. die each year from prostate cancer. Men can take actions this month to help improve their health that are as easy as one-two-three

1 - Eat healthy:  Start by eating healthy snacks like fruits and vegetables. 

2 - Get moving:  Try to move at least 30 minutes a day. Choose activities you enjoy doing to stay motivated.

3 - Make prevention a priority: Many conditions can be prevented with early detection. Schedule your annual physical today. Not only will it help you get healthy, but it counts for Wellness Program credit. You will be halfway to earning your 2018 Wellness Discount!
