After attendint a Spring Break program, Oak Forest resident Kathy Veroski wrote to Mayor Turner to compliment the staff at the Candlelight Community Center.

Here's what she had to say:

"The program was so inspiring and well planned. The kids really enjoyed the Spring Break Program. I have to admit I had never been in the community center before this event, however I will be coming back.

"The staff was friendly and welcomed us with open arms. I truly enjoyed watching my kids participate in the activities in friendly safe environment, I had the chance to meet the supervisor Myish Brooks and the Regional Manager Karmelete Rice, both were very caring and just top-notch people. The environment was so pleasurable.  I learned so much about the community center and I will be enrolling my kids in upcoming activities

This was so refreshing in time in life were there is so much negativity, racism, violence in schools it was good to see kids just having a grand time."
